Friend Receives Forgiveness

October 06, 2021

Sally’s* niece recently brought a friend to the Discover Bible study in her home. They read together from Genesis 1, and asked the listed questions. The girl that Sally’s niece brought began to cry and said she had done some things she had never confessed.

Sally shared with her, “God will forgive you. Are you ready to receive His forgiveness?”

She immediately responded, “Yes.”

The girl shared things she had never talked about before and asked God to forgive her.

“At this point,” Sally recalls, “we were all bawling and praying over her. For the first time, she felt the peace of God and such freedom! Afterwards, we prayed over her and then we sat and worshipped the Lord together. Others in the group also prayed to God, asking for forgiveness for their sins.”

The presence of the Lord was so evident and this precious girl asked how she can take this kind of peace home. She is coming back again for Bible study as they open the Word of God in Genesis 2:4-24. Sally also reminded the group how important it is to share what they are learning with others like their family and friends.
